OMG! Barbados Part One...

So...I got to Barbados! Despite the spewing volcano's attempts to stop me, we had a really lovely journey over. I began eating and drinking on the plane and didn't stop for seven days! When we got there - wow! What a wonderful island, all the Paradise elements, sun, golden sand, palm trees and most of all - the most genuine race of people I think I've ever met. I'm now a fan of all things Bajan... (except for cricket. I still don't get cricket)

As usual I took a tonne of books to read, including my pal Keris Stainton's first published book, 'Della says OMG'. Though it's aimed at a young adult audience, I loved it and had several blushing moments during a thoroughly good read! It struck me as I lay the book down on the beachtowel one day, that the title OMG, looked so good that I'd take it on a bit of a Bajan tour.

So here you have it - 'Della does Barbados!"

This sort of says it all on day one... yeah grab your buckets. Prepare to sticky fingers downy throaty. It really is that beautiful...

And here's me with the birthday boy (the reason we were there at all) Okay, I confess he didn't read it but he really enjoyed the tour!

And this is Della at the end of a long day, resting, waiting on a sundowner... Maybe a pina colada, or rum punch (lethal stuff - could run cars I'm sure...)
